Megan Matusky, MSW, LCSW (She/Her)
Hi there. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Founder of Calm Mind Therapy. I love helping clients become the best versions of themselves. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults and view all my client's through a trauma-informed lens. I take a validating and supportive approach with all my clients — and also love to challenge them to make change.
I have a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Lafayette College and a Master degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. I am trained in Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT), Attachment-Based Family Therapy, Trauma Art Narrative Therapy (TANT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also pull from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and other experiential modalities. I’d love to start working with you!
I am an EMDR Certified Therapist, as well as a Certified Family-Based Mental Health Professional. I am licensed to work with clients in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Maine.
THERAPIST
Em Johnston (They/Them)
Hello! I am an Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) here at Calm Mind Therapy. I specialize in working with children, teens, and young adults who identify as (or are thinking about identifying as) LGBTQIA+ and/or clients who are neurodivergent.
As a queer, non-binary, trans-masc, and neurodivergent person myself, I am passionate about providing a safe and affirming environment for all my clients.
My goal is to form a trusting and supportive relationship with everyone who walks through my door. I will be one of your biggest supporter and strongest advocate. Foremost, I practice a Rogerian, Person-Centered approach, as well as draw from various other modalities, such as Child-Centered Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). My background in pastoral counseling also allows me to use a spiritual lens for clients who are interested.
I have a Bachelor degree in Religious Studies from Susquehanna University. I received my Master degree in Pastoral Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Neumann University. I am a registered Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) and Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS).
THERAPIST
Emily Earley MSW, LCSW (She/Her)
My name is Emily, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker here at Calm Mind Therapy. I specialize in working with children and adolescents, and have experience providing counseling services in the school environment. I am committed to providing a safe and affirming space for my clients to process, problem-solve, heal, and grow. My goal is to form a supportive and trusting relationship with each client, where they feel empowered to share their deepest struggles. I consider it an honor and privilege to walk alongside my clients during difficult seasons.
I am passionate about collaborating with school staff, and have experience providing support to children and teens with diverse learning and developmental profiles. My particular clinical interests include depression, complex trauma, externalizing/oppositional behavior, anxiety, autism, and selective mutism. I enjoy incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused strategies into my work with clients. I am also an EMDR Therapist.
I am also a new mum, and have a growing passion for working with prenatal, perinatal and postpartum clients.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston College. I also have a certificate in Neuroscience and Social Work from Boston College. I am passionate about the brain and regularly incorporate neuroscience into my sessions with clients. I have found that learning about how the brain reacts, and recovers, from trauma allows clients to have a greater understanding of their healing journey.
Prior to my role at Calm Mind Therapy, I provided individual counseling and crisis intervention to adolescents in the school setting. I also have experience providing in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and adults with autism.
I would love the opportunity to support you!
