How long is a therapy session?

Therapy sessions last 50 minutes. We offer session both in-person at our Ardmore, PA office or through tele-health.


How much does a session cost?

Our rates depend on the clinician. We charge between $120 and $180 for individual therapy sessions, $155 and $210 for family therapy sessions, and from $30 to $60 for groups. We also offer affordable therapy with our Graduate Therapists where clients can set their own rate. We accept check and credit card payments. We also are in-network with Aetna.


What types of diagnoses do you work with?

We work with client’s with all types of diagnosis’ and life stressors. Some specialties include anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, trauma, grief, gender and sexuality exploration, life transitions, geographic relocation, identity exploration, family conflict, work stress, parenting challenges, school issues, and more. What should I expect during my first therapy session?

We like to take some time to get to know our clients and build a safe relationship with them. Our first therapy session will be information gathering and we will collaborate to develop therapeutic goals. We also want to give our clients time to assess the relationship and make sure it’s a match. Remember, the most important predictor of successful therapy is the client-therapist relationship!

 

Do you take insurance?

We are in-network with Aetna insurance, and we work with out-of-network benefits for other insurance providers. We provide clients with Superbills that they can submit to insurance for reimbursement. We also offer affordable therapy options with our team of Graduate Therapists. Additionally, we work with the Victims Compensation Assistance Program, which can provide financial coverage for mental health services for victims of sexual assault.

 

Do you prescribe medication?

No, we do not prescribe medication. We are happy to provide a list of psychiatric referrals for those who are interested.

 

How do I find your offices?

Our Ardmore office is located at 105 Ardmore Avenue, Ardmore, PA 19003. When you arrive at our location, enter through the front door of the building and walk straight back through the two glass doors that say Calm Mind Therapy. Follow the signs for the waiting area and have a seat. We’ll be out to grab you at the time of the appointment.

 

Where can I park?

There is street parking available on Ardmore Avenue and School Lane. There is also a public parking garage at One Ardmore Place Parking Garage. We are also in walking distance of the Ardmore train station.

 

What states are you licensed in?

We have therapists on staff who are licensed to serve clients in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maine, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Alabama.

 

What are EMDR intensives?

EMDR intensives are extended therapy sessions, usually lasting several hours or multiple consecutive days, designed to accelerate healing by focusing deeply on trauma processing. Unlike traditional weekly sessions, intensives provide a more concentrated and supportive environment to help clients make significant progress in a shorter time, while carefully pacing to ensure safety and comfort.
