Standing With Our Immigrant Neighbors: A Community Fundraiser for Nationalities Service Center
Therapy should be a safe space for all humans to heal and grow. At Calm Mind Therapy, we are committed to working with people from all cultures, races, genders, sexual orientations, and religions. Supporting immigrant and refugee communities is a natural extension of that commitment.
That’s why we are partnering with Sage and Rose Salon to raise funds for Nationalities Service Center (NSC), a Philadelphia nonprofit that has been empowering immigrants and refugees since 1922.
Why Nationalities Service Center?
For more than a century, NSC has transformed compassion into action. Each year, they serve over 5,000 immigrants and refugees in the Greater Philadelphia region. Their services are comprehensive and deeply impactful; including:
Legal representation and advocacy
Language access and education
Employment and workforce development
Community integration
Health and wellness support, including mental health services
Their work helps individuals and families build stability, dignity, and long-term self-sufficiency while strengthening the broader community.
Immigration journeys often involve resilience and hope and they can also include trauma, displacement, loss, and systemic barriers. Supporting organizations like NSC means investing not only in services, but in belonging.
Matching Donations Up to $2,000
To amplify this effort, Calm Mind Therapy and Sage and Rose Salon will match donations dollar-for-dollar up to $2,000.
That means every contribution made will have double the impact.
You can donate directly here:

Whether your gift is large or small, it helps expand access to legal protection, employment support, language education, and wellness services for immigrant families in our region.
Extending Mental Health Support
In addition to fundraising, Calm Mind Therapy will provide a limited number of pro bono, trauma-informed therapy cases for clients connected to NSC who have experienced displacement, violence, or other forms of trauma.
As mental health providers, we understand that healing is foundational to rebuilding a life in a new country. Offering culturally responsive, trauma-informed care is one way we can directly support that healing process.
A Shared Commitment to Wellness
Megan and Jessica Matusky are sisters who both own businesses in the wellness space. As sisters and business owners, they share a deep commitment to wellness and community. Each has built her business around connection, care, and meaningful engagement, whether through mental health support or spaces for beauty and self-expression.
This fundraiser is a reflection of their shared values: wellness is not individual, it is collective. When our neighbors have access to support, dignity, and opportunity, the entire community benefits. We invite you to join us. Donate, share the link, and help us reach, and exceed, our $2,000 match goal.
Together, we can expand access to safety, healing, and opportunity for immigrant families across the Philadelphia region.
