Happy Pride Month! We believe in creating safe spaces for all individuals to express their authentic selves at Calm Mind Therapy; we also know therapy is just one tool we can use on our journey to wellness. True wellness takes a village, which is why we wanted to highlight our local LGBTQIA+ community resources. 

We’re lucky to be located in the greater Philadelphia area and have access to incredible LGBTQIA+ organizations. These amazing organizations provide countless resources for the LGBTQIA+ community, such as access to health care, community meet-ups, local advocacy, artistic expression, and much more. In this post, we shine a light on these incredible organizations and highlight their impressive offerings.

William Way LGBT Community Center:

The LGBT Elder Initiative: 

Mission: The LGBT Elder Initiative aims to create a space where LGBTQ+ elders can form connections with others, share stories, and find a sense of belonging through providing resources, educational programs, and social activities that celebrate the unique experiences and challenges that older LGBTQ+ adults in the greater Philadelphia community face.

Mazzoni Center:

Mission: The Mazzoni Center strives to provide LGBTQIA+-focused medical care, counseling, support groups, HIV/STI testing, legal and social services, and affordable pride month events, supporting the greater Philadelphia region and the LGBTQIA+ community.
